5 days workshop with painter Jeremy Lipking
Back on track in my atelier after a 5 days workshop with American fine art painter Jeremy Lipking last week in Meehr (in the hills of Limburg, Netherlands). It was a great experience watching Jeremy doing portrait and landscape demo’s.
So refreshing to learn a different way to observe a subject and watching an other strategic way of working on a painting with a full colour palette. In this workshop I was also introduced with other materials and colors I used to work with like the paints by Michael Harding (handmade oil paint in the UK).
– Titanium white
– Cremnitz white
– Lead tin yellow lemon
– Lemon Yellow
– Cad Yellow
– Cad Orange
– Cad Red
– Brilliant Pink
– Alizarin Crimson
– Transparent Oxide Red
– Ultramarine
– Cobalt Blue
– Viridian
– Golden Green
– King’s Blue
– Ivory Black
Jeremy Lipking uses Long flat brushes series 279 Rosemary and co. which are very convenient. These brushes have extra long hair so they can carry more paint. The long handles allow for a loose feeling but I can also use the edge or the corner to hit my paintings beautiful variations in edges.
These painting colors and brushes have definitely become part of my everyday use!
