‘Gesture games’

While in Rio de Janeiro, on the other side of the world, the athletics give all their power to gain that golden medallion on the Olympic Games, I have my own ‘Gesture Games’. With the timer close by, I draw lines one after the other. My sketch sheet is full with bodies within the minute. My eyes grow sour off the effort, but if the result is good, they recover soon enough for the next minute. These drawing exercises always pay off and there is always something new to learn. It is almost addictive, those Gesture Games.
