On Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 November 2019, artist Wencke Vinks will open the doors of her studio to the public for the first time. Wencke exhibited this summer in the Rijksmuseum as a finalist of the Lang Leve Rembrandt competition where she was selected from a pre-selection of no less than 8.390 artists. Her work “The Reading Woman” is now back in Doesburg and will be shown in her studio, among other paintings. For the first time she will exhibit her art in Doesburg.
Wencke Vinks studied at the Design Academy in Eindhoven in the 1990s, after which she worked as Art Director for many years. Since 2015, Wencke has been working full-time as a painter. She says about her work: “My passion lies primarily in painting a model in relation to the natural environment”. To further explore her painting techniques, she became apprenticed to renowned painters, including Sam Drukker, Jeremy Lipking (USA) and Svetlana Tartakovska.
In addition to her winning painting The Reading Woman, a large part of her paintings and drawings can be seen and are for sale. There are also beautiful paintings for sale that she made during her travels to Nepal, China, Italy and Switzerland.
We hope to see you!
